Helper libraries

A helper library is a namespace of functions available to formulas as helpers.<namespace>.<fn>(). The core library is global and also flattened onto helpers.*. Org libraries are yours.

Each library ships a manifest. The manifest is what the formula editor’s autocomplete, the validator’s unknown-helper rule and the AI assistant all read, so keep descriptions and examples honest.

{
"namespace": "acme",
"version": "1.0.0",
"scope": "org",
"functions": [
{
"name": "accountCode",
"description": "The ACME account code for a customer name.",
"params": [{ "name": "name", "type": "string" }],
"returns": "string",
"examples": [{ "call": "helpers.acme.accountCode(row.Customer)", "result": "AC-0042" }]
}
]
}

Templates pin the library versions they were built with. Publishing a new version never changes what an existing template does until someone updates it.
